Day Six

Is that a marsupial in your pocket or are you glad to see me?

It's not easy taking pictures of your shirt pocket when you're wearing the shirt!

Morph spent most of the day in my pocket snoozing. He seemed very content to be there. Glyph crabbed at me when I tried to take her out of the cage so I left her in it. I'm still concerned that they'll get loose and I won't be able to find them so I figured that one pocket pal was good for today.

Between naps he nibbled. Walnuts seem to be his favorite.

That sure appears to be an adoring look but I think he was just posing for more walnuts. Dec09^06.jpg (13386 bytes)
He was the perfect gent all day but when I tried to return him to the cage he grasped the outside of it. It was a bitch peeling him off of it. (I was not as calm as would have helped). I got a good bite in the process but not until I had scared him with my nervousness and ineptitude at getting him inside.

The other cage (that they'll be moving into as soon as I can figure out how to fit it in here) has a very large door. It will be easier to get him through it without him grabbing the sides.

Once he was back in the cage, both of them ran all over my hand and arm in the cage and were much more interested in me than they had been before. Then he ran laps and leaps about an hour. It was the most animated I've seen them for an extended length of time. He sure looked like he was trying to find the way out but maybe he was just comfortable enough around us to come out and play. What do I know?
