The promised FAQ has grown to a large help section, to which I am continually adding. I have tried to categorize this section so that you can find what you need. You may also search the help area by keyword, using the form at the bottom of this page.  

You will most likely always find this area unfinished. When a category I need to discuss arises, I add it to this section whether or not I have written the information yet. (I don't care if that's not how it's usually done, it helps me to organize it.)

There are four distinctly different areas of building and maintaining a website, and those are more distinct, and slightly different  when using FrontPage.

FrontPage Help and Info (Except for Publishing) - The first area is that of building the page, and includes layout, design, HTML (and sometimes other) code. This is the area that deals with creating a site that appears the way you want it to and connects with everything that it is supposed to.

Graphics - Although graphics are used in  the process mentioned above, they deserve a separate category. This is an area where most new website builders need some special attention. The information in the graphics section is absolutely essential. Graphics are the most common cause for  slow loading web pages, and a slow page is a dead page.

The software for creating websites does not deal with the issues that need to be dealt with here and FrontPage certainly doesn't. Although you probably have MS Image Composer, which came with FrontPage, and which does some nifty things, it is not the tool you need. All the info you need (regardless of whether you are using FrontPage, or some other software, or writing your own code) is in this section, along with the right tools for the job.

Publishing with FrontPage involves more issues than publishing a non-FrontPage site does. That is why I have split this area into two sections.

Publishing Issues with FrontPage - This section deals with problems involved in publishing your FrontPage webs to whatever server you're using.

Using this Server - This area deals with publishing your site to this server. Anyone who is using cybertgaleries.com as thier hosting service, needs to look through this section.

Promoting Your Site with the Search Engines - This area may be the least fun, but is the most important. Any salesperson will tell you that if you get your product in front of enough people, you will be successful, regardless of what the product is. Unless you are building a website to show your kids pictures to the relatives, this is where you should be spending the bulk of your time.

Use this to search for the information you need, by entering keywords or phrases, pinpointing the area of information you need. This search does not access the entire site but does access all the help areas on cybergalleries.com and bunni.com so that the results you get are more likely to be those that will be helpful.
